Transferring Domain Names is Routine Work for Indian Registrars

Transferring Domain Names is something companies really do not have to work that hard for. Transfer domain name means change in guard at the registrar’s office, responsibilities being delegated from one registrar to the other. It is known the registrar is solely responsible for the management of your domain name records, and that the transfer ought to be so seamless it should in no way affect your DNS, website or relevant email.

Approach an Indian registrar. Apply for transfer. Most of them have a form on which they have the option ‘transfer domain name’. Once the option gets selected, the registrar reverts back through email. Once the email notification comes, the registrar administering your domain name has to put forth his final nod for acceptance of transfer. This step helps validate the authenticity of your request.

Within a period of 5 days if the transfer is not accepted, then it is presumed by the registrar that the transfer has been rejected. For this very reason, it is very important to ensure all the contact information fed in your domain records is valid, updates and accurate. The transfer process only happens successfully when the domain is active. If locked or inactive or under the process of being deleted or redeemed, the process does not go through success transfer.

This is how Indian registrars go about transferring domain names. The transfer of domain name is a convenient process and even if not, they make it look highly convenient. A stipulation here is that the domain name must have been registered for more than 60 days. Anything less and the transfer process is deemed invalid.

Bank on Indian registrars to help you do this all the time.
